Let’s make your first quilt together!

You’d like to learn to quilt but don’t know where to start? Join Sarah for a full day of quilting and go home with a 40x40 quilt top!

In this workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of quilting and a lot of tips:

  • Read and understand a quilting pattern and instructions

  • Cut accurately

  • Learn HSTS

  • Learn strip piecing

  • Learn how to baste a quilt

  • Use and sew through batting

  • Use a 1/4” foot

  • Learn to bind a quilt

  • All the best practices and tips directly from the designer

As usual, we are taking care of everything for the more involved projects! All the material (fabric, batting and notions) will be prepared for you in a kit; no need to purchase anything and big bonus: most pieces will be already cut and ready to be pieced!

Gift yourself a quilting break between Thanksgiving and before the holidays :)
Color options will be emailed to you ahead of the workshop date.

Price: $410, includes:

  • a full day of class at the Studio with your instructor Sarah

  • pattern

  • pre-cut pieces

  • batting

  • sewing machine

  • tools

Skill level: You should know who to operate a sewing machine and know what a seam allowance is.
If you never sewed before, but tempted by this workshop, please schedule a private lesson before.
